Outplay App

Outplay

Brief: To create a mobile app interface for a hypothetical product that would make use of Toyota’s concept car: the e-palette. The e-palette is the concept of a driverless car which can be used through mobile app-based services.

2019, Classroom Project
Hochschule Pforzheim, Germany

Design Solution: Outplay is an app which aids Sports & Game lovers in Urban areas in planning & joining games in their neighbourhood- without needing to know people to play with OR owning the equipment!
The Sport / Game event is created using the mobile application, and the sporting equipment required is delivered to the location by the e-palette.

Design Process:
The concept for a service using the e-palette had to be created. This class taught a lot of Human Centred Design Methods & Techniques, such as the Crazy 8.

The working of the application was tested through sketches, and then through wireframes in XD. The identity & terminology used in the application was inspired by elements of board games. Dice, Pawns, and typical 4 colour teams were used to create the assets that gave life to the wireframes.
